Cathy Tapogna  Cathy Tapogna has been a part of the Virginia Athletics Department since 1993 when she joined the media relations staff as an assistant director. She worked with 24 of the department's 25 sports during her career at U.Va. and was the primary contact for the women's basketball team and assisted with media relations for football.
She is responsible for the layout and design of printed material, including the Foundation's pages for Cavalier Corner, newsletters and collateral marketing material to support the fund-raising effort. In addition, she is the designer and content editor for the Virginia Athletics Foundation website. Tapogna, a native of Springfield, Ohio, worked in athletic media relations at the University of Cincinnati for three years before coming to U.Va. She holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing with a minor in Journalism and a master's degree in Editing and Publishing from Cincinnati.
