Joan Wilson  Joan Wilson joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation staff in March 1992 and is responsible for all gift accounting and financial statements. A native of South Carolina, Wilson moved to Charlottesville in 1982 after receiving her bachelor's degree in English from Salem College. She also worked briefly at the Foundation in the fall of 1982.
Her responsibilities include all gift reporting, matching gift submittals, statements, acknowledgements, and receipts. In addition to these duties, Wilson also produces the monthly district gift report that tracks all fund raising progress. She produces the Foundation's financial statements that are reviewed by the Board of Trustees and prepares the Foundation's annual budget. Wilson is married to Mic Wilson, Executive Director of Kappa Sigma International Fraternity, and they have a son, Teddy.
