Now that the arena has opened, will a new donor or someone who did not make an original arena gift be able to get premium seats? |

Donors will need to make the appropriate arena and annual gifts to obtain seats in the premium seating area. |

What is the difference between an arena gift and an annual gift, and why are both gifts needed? |
|
Arena gifts will be used to finance the construction of the John Paul Jones Arena. Annual gifts are used to fund student-athlete scholarships and operational needs for the athletics department. Both types of gifts are critical to the future success of Virginia Athletics. |

Will the annual gift requirement increase in the future? |
|
It is likely that the annual gift requirement will increase. The Virginia Athletics Foundation Board of Trustees reviews the annual giving levels each year. Changes are made to respond to increases in tuition and annual operating costs. |

After I make a commitment to the John Paul Jones Arena project, will I have to pay for the tickets and parking passes? |
|
Yes. Each year the cost of the tickets and parking passes will be determined based on the teams’ schedules. You will receive your order forms indicating the cost of each. Revenue generated from these sales support the operational budget of the athletics program. (Note: Tickets and parking passes are included with the cost of the suite commitment.) |

Will my arena gift count toward the University’s capital campaign? |
|
Yes. All gifts to the Virginia Athletics Foundation beginning January 1, 2004 will be included in the University’s capital campaign. This includes arena, annual, "Friends Of", endowment and planned gifts. |

Can I transfer or pass my seats on to someone else? |
|
Yes. Donors who have made an arena commitment and have selected seats can pass seats one time during the term of the seat agreement, provided the arena gift pledge has been fulfilled. The recipient of the seats will be required to maintain the appropriate annual gift for the remainder of the term. |

How will my gift be recognized? |
|
All donors making an arena gift of $1,000 or more will be permanently recognized in the arena. |
