Groups
Selection
those donors who will have the opportunity to select their seats in person or by phone (Groups A and B).
Assignment
those donors who will be assigned their seats after being given the opportunity to indicate their seating preferences and requests on their 2008 season football ticket application (Groups C and D).

Guarantee
A donor is assured the right to maintain their current seats/parking space or reselect new ones.

Lifetime Seat Holders
In 1978, after the 12,000-seat expansion of Scott Stadium, donors to the Virginia Student Aid Foundation (now called the Virginia Athletics Foundation) were offered a one-time opportunity to purchase lifetime rights to seats for $100 per seat as long as they purchased the seats every year and maintained their annual giving to the Foundation. Lifetime seats are not affected by the 2008 Virginia Football Priority Seating and Parking Policy.

Non-Donor
Anyone who chooses not to make an Annual Campaign gift to the Virginia Athletics Foundation.

Pledge
A verbal or written commitment to make a gift.

Priority Points
The system used to determine the ranking of all donors. Priority points are used whenever seating or parking assignments are made.

Rank
All donors are ranked according to their priority points. The donor with the highest number of points in their selection or assignment group is the first to select/be assigned his/her seats and parking (if eligible).

Seat/Parking Space Renewal Guarantee
A donor at or above the V Club giving level is assured the right to maintain their current seats/parking space or reselect new ones.

Seating Preference
During the assignment process, individuals may include a seating preference on their season football ticket application, which would indicate a particular area within Scott Stadium for seat assignment. Examples of preferences may include East, West, Upper Level, Lower Level and End Zone.

Seating Request
During the assignment process, individuals may include a seating request on their season football ticket application, which would indicate very specific seating needs within Scott Stadium. Examples of requests may include aisle seats, special needs seating and requests to sit with other patrons.
