Priority Points
Priority points are awarded for your current year gift, cumulative giving, consecutive years of giving and for reaching the 15- and 25-year giving milestones. Bonus points are given to those members who pay pledges early in the calendar year.
Priority points are based on the current fund drive and are recalculated each year based on the pledge made to that drive. Capital gifts receive cumulative giving priority points if a 2007 Annual Campaign gift is also made. Capital gifts are not included in establishing a donor's annual giving level.

Example for Calculating Points
Bob and Mary Smith have been members since 1979. They have given $15,000 in their lifetime to the Virginia Athletics Foundation. In February of the new campaign year, they pledge $2,500 and pay $1,250 in March and $1,250 in June. They also buy two tickets ($75 each) for the 2008 Gator Bowl.
The following month, their priority points are updated as follows:
