Basketball Priority Tickets and Reserved Parking

2011-12 Guidelines:

  1. Arena campaign donors who have 10- and 20-year seat retention options must maintain the appropriate annual giving level and renew seats every year during that period.
  2. Donors who wish to secure lower level seating must make or have made a minimum arena capital gift of $25,000. Seat assignments are based on availability. Please contact a member of the VAF staff for additional details.
  3. Donors ordering tickets, requesting additional tickets, or requesting a change in seat location will be assigned seats based on their overall priority points. All non-donors will be assigned after all donors.
  4. Parking assignments will follow the same guidelines as seating.

Men’s Basketball Tickets

Donors Select Sections

Fans seated in the Donor Select sections (see map) have made capital contributions tojpja_icon support the John Paul Jones Arena. They have long-term rights to purchase these seats as long as their Annual Campaign gift, at the appropriate level, is maintained. New donors contributing $25,000 or more to the arena campaign and wanting long-term seat options should contact the Foundation at (800) 626-8723 or (434) 982-5555.

Priority Assigned Seats

Returning and new customers without Donor Select seats will be reseated in remaining locations. Donors to the Virginia Athletics Foundation who make an annual gift of $100 or more will be assigned seats based on priority points. Customers without priority points will be seated on a date-received basis.

 


 

Women’s Basketball Tickets

JPJ_iconWomen’s basketball season ticket holders, donors to the John Paul Jones Arena project and Virginia Athletics Foundation donors will receive priority on seat assignments for women’s basketball (see map). Donors supporting the arena project at the level to qualify for long-term seat agreements for men’s basketball will be given the opportunity to keep or improve their seats for women’s basketball games.

 


 

Basketball Reserved Parking

Men’s Basketball Reserved Parking: Season ticket holders may purchase one reserved season parking pass per ticket account. Donors to the Virginia Athletics Foundation making a minimum pledge or gift of $100 are assigned parking based on Foundation priority points. All parking assignments are subject to availability. Should requests for parking spaces exceed supply, you will be notified in a timely manner and a refund will be issued.

  • Reserved season parking passes are required for all levels of the JPJA Garage, the West Lot, East Lot, South Lot and Cage Lot. Additional parking spaces are within a 5-7 minute walk of the Arena.
  • Entrance to levels 1 & 2 of the garage is from Copeley Rd. Garage Diagram (pdf)
  • Entrance to the Disabled Parking Area requires a state-issued handicapped placard. Access to this lot is through the West Lot entering from Massie Road. Parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Parking passes for men’s basketball are not valid for other events at the arena that require reserved parking passes (i.e. concerts, shows or special events).
  • Hold your pass in full view of officers directing traffic.
  • Leave the pass hanging on your rearview mirror and be sure to lock your car.
  • Reserved lots open two (2) hours before tip-off.

Women’s Basketball Reserved Parking

New for the 2011 season:
Every season ticket holder receives a complimentary parking pass for the surface lot in front of JPJ Arena.  This West Lot season pass is included in the mailing with a patron’s season tickets.

Parking for Women’s Basketball Reserved season parking passes are required for levels 1 & 2 of the JPJA Garage only. The remaining lots are on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Entrance to levels 1 & 2 of the garage is from Copeley Road only. Garage Diagram (pdf)
