Marilyn Coates joined the Foundation in March 2011. She assists with all Foundation events and the administration of the suites at Scott Stadium, Davenport Field and John Paul Jones Arena.

A native of Danville, Va., Coates earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and sports communication from James Madison University in 2008. After graduation, she spent two and a half years working as an event planner for the Office of the Dean of Students at U.Va. She received a certificate in Meeting and Event Planning from U.Va. in 2009.
