Programs & Initiatives
Various programs and initiatives have been established to achieve fundraising goals and give special recognition to donors.
2027 Men's Basketball Seating Plan
The 2027-28 Virginia Men's Basketball Seating Plan is being implemented for various reasons, including the fact that all current seating agreements will expire at the conclusion of the 2026-27 men's basketball season. These upcoming seat license expirations create opportunities for renewal, reassessment, and revenue to ensure long-term sustainability and fan engagement.
1.15.41 Memorial Fund
The Virginia Athletics Foundation and Virginia Athletics have announced the creation of the 1.15.41 Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund will honor the lives of Virginia football players Lavel Davis Jr. (No. 1), Devin Chandler (No.15) and D'Sean Perry (No. 41). The three UVA students were killed in the shooting tragedy on Grounds on Nov. 13, 2022.
Car dealer program
Car Dealers that provide coaches, administrators, and staff access to vehicles help ease the cost of recruiting and travel for the athletics department. Participants receive ticket, parking, and advertising benefits for their investment.
Brick campaign
Cement your legacy. Join us as we honor the past and pave the future of Virginia Athletics through the Commemorative Brick Campaign outside of John Paul Jones Arena (JPJ).
I Give 110%
I Give 110% is an initiative to help the Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) meet the rising cost of scholarships. I Give 110% recognizes VAF members whose Annual Fund commitment is at least 10 percent greater than their previous year's Annual Fund gift.
Milestone Donor Recognition
The Virginia Athletics Foundation honors each of its donors who reach their 40th and 50th consecutive years of giving to the Foundation.
Hoos success fund
The Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) Hoos Success Fund (HSF) is designed to raise broad-based, unrestricted support for more than 750 Virginia student-athletes and 27 varsity sport programs. Philanthropic contributions afford the athletics department flexibility to allocate resources where they are most needed.
Young Alumni
The Virginia Athletics Foundation's (VAF) Young Alumni Program encourages recent graduates to support Virginia Athletics with our giving credit. The VAF supports young alumni by giving credit up to $5,000 for the first ten years following graduation from undergraduate programs at the University of Virginia.
